Wie schon erwähnt, nicht von heute auf morgen, aber mit etwas Plan und Struktur. Die ersten Phasen des CEBS 3-Stufen-Plans setzen einige Wochen vor Schulschluss 2023/24 an. Phase 1 wurde im letzten Blogeintrag beschrieben, nun folgt Phase 2, die ebenfalls noch vor Schulbeginn 2024/25 angesetzt werden sollte.
Wer ist dabei? Einzelne Fachgruppen und/oder Tandems aus Content/Subject- und Language-Teachers
Welche Ziele sollen erreicht werden? Für CLIL geeignete Inhalte/Themen/Abschnitte in den Lehrplänen der jeweiligen Unterrichtsgegenstände identifizieren
Welche Planungsschritte sollen dann noch vor Schulbeginn gemacht werden? Content- und language-related Outcomes für einzelne Themen definieren, mögliche Methoden zur Vermittlung der Inhalte sammeln/auflisten, gewünschte Kooperationen mit Englisch-Lehrer:innen ausloten und Zeitpläne zur Umsetzung im Unterricht entwerfen
Oder anders gefragt: Thinking about content- and language-related outcomes first? Does this make sense at all?
Well, yes, it does. We all do, sometimes, right? In his article “On three principles for CLIL lesson planning”, first published in CLIL Magazine Spring 2016 (slightly adapted), Jason Skeet explains what he understands by backwards planning:
There are three guiding principles underlying my approach to CLIL lesson planning: first, backwards planning (planning from learning outcomes); second, learning in CLIL needs to be task-led (the task is always central!); third, there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to sequencing tasks. /…/
By backwards planning I mean that the lesson is planned backwards from the learning outcomes for the lesson. The learning outcomes describe the new knowledge, understanding and skills, as well as changes in attitudes, which learners will be walking out with at the end of a lesson. In my view, the best approach to writing learning outcomes in CLIL is to use the three dimensions of CLIL model that Phil Ball, John Clegg and Keith Kelly explain in /…/ „Putting CLIL Into Practice“.
