Der letzte Blogeintrag hat offenbar auch das Interesse von Lehrer:innen an AHS und Mittelschulen geweckt. Besteht auch für sie die Möglichkeit, die österreichische CLIL-Szene besser kennenzulernen?
Ja. Die erste österreichische BMHS CLIL-Konferenz fand 2014 in Wien statt, seit 2017 wird sie vom CEBS als CLILvoc an der PHDL in Linz organisiert. Anders als 2020, als die CLILvoc pandemiebedingt als reine Online-Veranstaltung durchgeführt werden musste, ist die Anzahl der Teilnehmer:innen für 2025 wieder limitiert. Momentan ist das PH Online-Anmeldefenster für Lehrer:innen an BMHS geöffnet, sollten nach dem 30. November noch Plätze verfügbar sein, wird die PHDL die Anmeldung auch den Kolleg:innen aus anderen Schultypen ermöglichen. Die PHDL und der CLILvoc Blog werden rechtzeitig darüber informieren. Also … save the date, stay alert!
Oder anders gefragt: CLIL is CLIL, isn´t it? No matter where you teach.
Well, yes, basically. You´ll find the term CLIL being used in almost all the national curricula. There´s something about CLIL in the curriculum for Primary Schools, in the curricula for both Compulsory and Academic Secondary Schools, as well as in all the curricula for Colleges for Higher Vocational Education (terms used as in https://www.bildungssystem.at/en/).
Still, it´s worth looking at the details. There´s a common core understanding of what CLIL is, the definition being followed by the colleges for higher vocational education stands out though. It´s the embedded language learning elements mentioned there that make CLIL at these colleges a real USP.
